FM3/FM9/AXE-FX III Patch based on Marshall JVM (Brit JVM)

TThe Marshall JVM series represents a bold evolution of the company’s storied legacy, bridging the gap between vintage valve heritage and modern tonal versatility. When the JVM410H was introduced in the mid-2000s, it marked a clear statement from Marshall: that modern players deserved both the soul of classic tube tone and the convenience of digital-age control.

At first glance, the JVM410H looks like a traditional Marshall head—powerful, imposing, and unmistakably British. But under the hood, it’s one of the most flexible and feature-rich all-tube amplifiers the company has ever produced. With 100 watts of EL34-driven power, the amp draws from the same DNA that shaped rock history, but expands its capabilities to suit virtually any genre, from blues and classic rock to extreme metal and experimental styles.

The key to the JVM’s versatility lies in its four fully independent channels, each with its own dedicated gain, volume, and three-band EQ controls: Clean, Crunch, OD1, and OD2. Each channel offers three distinct modes—green, orange, and red—effectively giving the player 12 separate voicings to choose from. These range from pristine cleans to vintage crunch, hot-rodded lead tones, and ultra-saturated modern distortion. The gain structure and EQ of each mode are meticulously tuned to make each transition seamless and usable, whether you're stacking pedals in front or plugging straight in.

In terms of control and connectivity, the JVM was ahead of its time. The amp features a programmable digital footswitching system that allows players to store combinations of channel, mode, reverb, and effects loop settings—all instantly recallable with the included 6-button footswitch or via MIDI. This turns the JVM into a true performance amplifier, enabling fast, precise transitions during complex arrangements or multi-song sets.

Over the years, the JVM series has been embraced by a wide spectrum of artists. Joe Satriani, Megadeth, Steve Morse, and countless touring and session musicians have used the JVM on stages and in studios worldwide, drawn by its reliability, tonal range, and intuitive control scheme.

In the end, the Marshall JVM410H is a modern classic—a true workhorse capable of delivering practically any sound a guitarist might need, without sacrificing the warmth, punch, or feel of all-tube power. It stands as a testament to Marshall’s ability to innovate while honoring the sonic traditions that made their name iconic in the first place.
